Meridian Technologies’ Magnesium Products of Italy celebrated its 10 year anniversary at its Verres facility in style, on Saturday, December 17th 2005. The company produces high pressure magnesium die cast components for the automotive industry with a customer list that includes Fiat, Opel, DaimlerChrysler, Jaguar and Intier. Over 400 people attended this event that included employees, their families and local authorities.
A guided plant tour opened the celebration and was followed by dinner and dancing as approximately 70 children turned the cafeteria into a fun filled playground.
Also recognized during the celebration was the 10 year service awards for the dedicated employees who make it all happen. Meridian President & CEO Paolo Maccario joined Mario Amelotti, Vice President Human Resources Teksid S.p.A and MPI Managing Director Marco Parma in rewarding the employees for their tenure. Congratulations to the following people: Francesco Abbate, Dario Belotti, Valeria Bonora, Daniel Bisi, Carlo D’Anello, Franco De Costa, Tino Delchoz, Luca Giannese, Stefano and Luca Giovanzana, William Girardi, Nicola Modafferi, Domenico Platino, Vincenzo Palmigiano, Giancarlo Parise, Cristian Pellicano, Augusto Sacco, Elena Sucquet and Ugo Vercueil.
Managing Director Marco Parma states “10 years ago, on 6th September 1995, MPI plant was inaugurated. Since then, MPI has been growing into a well known company in spite of all of the difficulties of a very competitive market. This has been possible thanks to people addressing their skills to a common goal. It is their commitment and mutual trust, together with high quality products, that ensure MPI reliability towards customers, stakeholders, the local community and Meridian as a whole.”
Among the local authorities attending the ceremony were the President of the Region Luciano Caveri, the President and the Director of the Regional Industrial Association, Giuseppe Bordon and Edda Crosa respectively, and the Mayor of Verrès Piero Prola.
