Meridian Technologies Inc., the world's largest supplier of magnesium die cast automotive components, is pleased to announce that its Meridian Technologies United Kingdom (MTUK) facility, which began operations in Sutton-in Ashfield in 2003, has achieved Ford Q1 recognition. This is the fourth Meridian plant to gain Q1 preferred status with Ford Motor Company, joining the Eaton Rapids, Mi facility, Strathroy, Ontario facility and the Verres, Italy facility.
This prestigious award is given only to Ford’s production part suppliers who have consistently demonstrated quality and excellence in their relationship with Ford, have maintained high levels of performance and have exhibited a continuous improvement mindset.
“Attaining Q1 is a testament to the systems that are implemented at our manufacturing facilities and more importantly to those employees who use, follow and maintain the operating systems,” states Ron Jackson, Meridian’s Global Quality Director.
This prestigious award, necessary for future business opportunities within the Ford group, is seen as a significant distinction that is well recognized in the automotive industry and adds to the several awards already received by the Meridian Technologies plants around the globe.
