Meridian Technologies was proud to sponsor the recent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Vehicle Symposium which took place at the Transportation Research Center in East Liberty, Ohio August 21-24th.
Presented by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), this event focused on the latest technologies and future trends of vehicle all-wheel drive systems. Presentations from companies such as General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Subaru, Borg Warner, Magna Powertrain and Ohio Sate University provided the audience with state-of-the-art knowledge of these systems along with current and future design approaches. Exhibitors at the 4 day event included Borg Warner, Dana Corporation, Getrag Corporation and others.
With production of four-wheel drive vehicles in North America forecasted to increase 10 percent over the next four years* and the increased demand for more fuel efficient vehicles, Meridian Technologies was on hand to discuss the benefits of magnesium by providing significant weight reduction while adhering to strict safety and performance requirements.
