Meridian Technologies Inc., the automotive industry's largest supplier of magnesium die casting assemblies, is pleased to announce the opening of a new manufacturing facility to be located in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. Tony Walsh, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer stated “The opening of the Mexican manufacturing facility will allow us to more competitively service our Mexican based automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers. As the Mexican automotive manufacturing base continues to grow, our Mexican plant will allow us the opportunity to expand our global sales and also enhance our ability to provide power train components to the automotive industry.”
The initial manufacturing facility will consist of three (3) 1600 ton die casting machines and seven (7) CNC machining centers. It and will employ eighty-four (84) employees and provide magnesium automotive diecastings.
Mr. Walsh stated that, "The opening of the Ramos Arizpe facility will provide a flexible and competitive manufacturing facility that will assist us to further penetrate the powertrain and chassis casting market.” It is Meridian’s intent to continue to provide and develop additional profitable business in order to secure a prosperous future for our employees, shareholders and suppliers.
