Strathroy, Ontario, Canada – October 23, 2008. Meridian Lightweight Technologies Inc. (“Meridian”) announced today that Wayne Oliver has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Wayne has over twenty years of financial manufacturing experience with the last twelve years being dedicated to the automotive industry’s financial sector. Mr. Oliver was most recently employed as the Vice President Operations Finance for Meridian Automotive Systems Inc.. Prior to his most recent employment Wayne held the position of Vice President Finance McKechnie Vehicle Components Inc.. Wayne has also been employed in various financial capacities with the following manufacturing companies: Oxford Automotive – Forging Group, Continental AG – Brake and Chassis Division, Cambridge Industries Inc. – Interior Products Division, Masco Tech Inc. – Automotive Aftermarket Group & Industrial Components Division and Johnson Controls Inc. – Plastic Machinery Division. Mr. Oliver is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University of Southfield, Michigan holding a Master of Science Degree Industrial Operations. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mr. Olivier will succeed Patrick Rooke Vice President of Finance.
