Strathroy, Ontario, Canada - May 4, 2009. Meridian Lightweight Technologies Inc. ("Meridian") announced today that Alan Miller has joined the company as Vice President of Administration and a member of the senior management team. Alan will be responsible for overseeing and supporting Meridian's operations in the areas of human resources and benefits, as well as health and safety and environmental matters. In addition to these and other support functions, Alan will manage and coordinate the company's legal affairs. Mr. Miller will be assuming all responsibilities previous handled by Brent Bonner, as well as taking on additional management responsibility.
Prior to joining Meridian, Alan has spent 24 years in progressively responsible senior positions in the automotive supplier industry, most recently as Vice President and General Counsel of Intermet Corporation in Troy, Michigan. Before joining Intermet, Alan was Vice President and General Counsel of Libbey-Owens-Ford Company in Toledo, Ohio. Alan holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Science degrees from The Ohio State University.
