General Duty, Production

Primary Purpose of Position

To work within the production Department to efficiently and effectively support the general needs and duties of the department to meet the customer requirements.

Major Responsibilities of Position

• Every employee has the responsibility to comply with all safety rules, quality procedures and processes established by MPA

• To produce the requirements at the prescribed quality level while meeting production goals.

• Perform safety checks, quality checks and process checks.

• Properly fill out the appropriate paperwork

• Safely assist set - up operators and team leaders in any set - ups, repairs, P.M. duties etc.

• Perform clean up duties such as, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting equipment etc.

• Work within a team concept and be willing to work in multiple areas and/or multiple lines.

• Work within the MIOSHA company rules and regulations.

• Knowledge of the company EMS/ISO 14001 Standards

• Knowledge of the IATF quality system as it pertains to this position including; quality policy, non-conforming materials, and customer specific requirements.

• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

• Stop working on any equipment or process that you are concerned is unsafe and report the concern immediately to a Supervisor

• Stop working on any equipment or process that you are concerned is compromising the quality of our product and report the concern immediately to a Supervisor

Personal Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes):

• Ability to work extended hours including weekends in order to objective accomplishment

• Ability to manage daily priorities and task accomplishment

• Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written

• Fluent in English

Physical demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, grasp and lift – occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds

• Visual requirements include; ability to visually inspect work performed,

• Must have the ability to tolerate the above requirements for a minimum of 8 hours daily

Work Environment

• Automotive manufacturing environment; shift work, i.e., five-eight-hour shifts for 40 regular hours per week with overtime as required.

• Shop Environment: 75% of the time, includes exposure to industrial safety hazards, loud and sudden noises, hot/humid conditions; standard tools available

• Production Environment: 25% of the time, includes exposure to industrial safety hazards, loud and sudden noises, hot/humid conditions. Extreme temperatures during the summer and winter months can be expected
